I finally called to extend a credit that expired in January. I had read here on DIS, that the fee went up, from $75 to $100.

The representative said, it would be $100. I innocently commented, "oh, it used to be $75, wasn't it?" And she said, yes, and it was $75 back in January, when your credit expired, and that she could change it to $75. She added that they were doing this for customers now, but soon would no longer be able to do so.

So, FYI, if you are extending a credit, try for the $75. And as I am sure most of you know, when you extend an expired credit, you get a LUV voucher, that can be used by ANYONE. Good deal, DH will be using my $105 voucher.

I have 5 roundtrip tickets that expire shortly. How much does it cost to extend? Is it each way (2 for roundtrip)? Is it per person or one fee for the confirmation number? I bought 5 roundtrip tickets for my 5 family members... Just wondering how much its going to cost and Southwest won't tell me!

Good info, thanks!

While on this topic, does anyone know if you still have a year from expiration to call for the extension?

I have a large credit that expired at the end of February 2013. I've been holding off extending it because we haven't had any trips planned but if I still have until the end of this month I'll probably go ahead and extend it and *make* plans!:thumbsup2
