I'm checking daily for our January trip. Saw this afternoon that the flight I wanted had dropped from $103 to $86 but when I went to book it would only give me that price for ONE tix!!! Soooo I only bought the one tix. Will play the waiting game every day until I can hopefully catch the same price for the other 2 tix that we need. SUCH A PAIN!!

Unless you're booking a sale blackout date, I'd hold off a while. Prices will come down in the coming months.

So, the fare went down $17pp and I requested a credit. Is that a credit that can only be applied to the person, or is it all on my account? Thx!

I just bought our tickets yesterday Grand Rapids to Orlando for Dec. 4-11 at $193 total. Non-stop both ways.

I am VERY happy with Southwest right now. I have been checking every day to see if our Denver-Oakland flights to connect to Hawaiian Airlines for our Aulani trip in December have come down and today they DID!...from $154 to $107 each ticket each way. I'd used points to book the flights, so I just re-booked and the point differential (around 13,000 points for the two round-trips!!) went immediately back into my Rapid Rewards account. I'm still glad I booked the day they were released so the prices couldn't get any higher than that, but this sure emphasizes how important it is to keep checking early and often and take advantage of Southwest's no change penalty re-booking credit!

I have found that the flights I have booked while reasonable never go down like they used too. I book early when I know and often that's the best price. For the places we go the only way the prices have been going is up. Of course it's nice to get a credit to use if they go down so I never feel locked in to anything like with other airlines.

the fares are outrageous. Three times the price from two years ago and 1/2 the flights old out in 24 hours. I find that hard to believe. I have gone mid December before and it was never this high.
