I have read a lot of people talking about SW credits? I understand they credit you if you ticket price goes lower than what you paid? WE are flying SW for the first time with a DING rate so I'm sure we won't get a credit..but is it common to get a credit due to a reduced rate? It just seems like SW is already so cheap the only way it would go down and you could get credit is if there was a DING? Just curious for future travels...

DING! is not always the cheapest fare. For example, some months ago, I booked a trip from ABQ to OAK for $89 each way. While I was sitting on the ME bus at MCO, I cranked up my laptop to see what kind of signal the airport had and lo and behold the signal was good and there was a DING! waiting for me. ABQ to OAK was now $50 each way. That would give me $39 credit per leg, and I thought that was the end of it. A couple weeks later, there was a summer sale for June/July and ABQ to OAK was $44 each way. More $$$ in the bank. Have used credit $$$ to book another OAK trip for Labor Day. LUV works in mysterious ways.:thumbsup2
