Southwest Check-in

We (myself, dh, dd (13),ds(11) will be flying out of Providence on April 18th. Is it worth getting separate reservation numbers, getting up at midnight and hoping the online check-in works to get our boarding assignments or should we wait and get what we get at the airport? I am not sure which way is less stressful.

That is a Sunday, I would get up and check in online. Sundays are busy travel days.

Thank you. It is not only a Sunday, it is the beginning of April vacation in Mass. I really do not like this new policy. Unless they change this, I will not fly SW again. I will choose JetBlue or Song out of Boston.

why not? They don't give all the A passes out on the net. They are still "divied" (sp?) up equally between online, skycap, counter and gate. Heck you might not even get an a pass online.

I'm with you. We have only flown Southwest from Albany since they came here 3 or 4 years ago. But, if another airline would start up non-stop service to Orlando, I'd give them a shot. I'm so sick of the SW boarding hassel.

Here is my feeling. I would NOT get up at midnight. When you wake up that morning go do the check in.

So far I have seen VERY few people at SW checking in with passes printed from home. Also considering where you are flying from I would think the flight originates there so even if you get B if you board early in the B group you should be able to find seats.

The plane seats something like 200 and A is only 45 of them
