Southwest baggage size

Thanks for posting this. I made note of it for my trip the end of May. Do you know how many pieces of luggage are allowed per person?

It is on the website. I believe it is 3 pieces checked at 50# and one personal item and one carry one. I would go to the website and double check. It is under the travel center.

We just returned on SWA tonight. They weighed our luggage at the counter, we have large luggage and one piece was 43 pounds, another 50 and one 56. At the check-in it was suggested that we should make the 56 pound one 6 pounds lighter or else we would have to pay $25. So guess what, there we are standing at check-in, transferring things from the 56lb suitcase to the 43 lb case to get it 50lb or under to avoid the fee. It was just CRAZY!!!!!
The reason we went in to the counter was because curbside was a mile long. The inside had more employees checking passangers in. The line moved alot faster.
