I don't know if it's live yet on all flights, but I just saw it on the news. Thought I'd mention if for anyone on the fence about booking a southwest flight.

I saw SW reduced fares by $5 for those who bought within 7 days of the flight. Saw other airlines raise flights by $5, but SW did not match them. Nor did SW's competitors lower to SW's fares. Yeah, airfare is always a big part of most people's budgets. At least with SW, I can change without a fee. Bad thing, it makes me fly again when I have a credit from changing to a lower fare.

SW made a third quarter profit but fell below analysts forecasts

Went to check prices yesterday and I just lucked out saving 5k+ miles each for 2 tickets and $73 for another ticket one way from EWR to MCO. thank goodness for their no change fees policy. I love that. guess I checked just in time.

I monitor SW daily. Heard the of $5 increase today. The flights that were $119 yesterday are $159 today. That's not $5, it's $40! We have credits to use, as mentioned from a lower fare.
