Don't book a group rate! For each price point, there are X number of seats available at that price point. If you try to book all 11 at once, they will charge you the price that is available for all 11 of you, even if there are cheaper seats available. For example (all hypothetical), let's say there are 7 seats still available for $100. The next price point will be $115, and there are 25 seats at this price point. If you try to book all 11 seats at once, you'll all be given seats that cost $115. However, if you split the group, the first seven (or any combination that adds up to 7) will get the $100 seats and the last four will get the $115 seats. I would play with the website and put in various numbers of passengers to see if you can get them all at the same price point. Sometimes the difference in fare is minimal; but if there aren't 11 available seats in each of several price points, you can end up paying quite a bit more than you should.
