When will Southwest and Jetblue airlines have prices for flights in mid September?

Others have posted that SW will have their prices by February 8th.

Southwest opened their new dates and prices today.

I found Air Tran from Buffalo to Orlando was cheaper Aug 21-27.

Is it just me or the airfares are way higher this year than same period last year!?!?! We always fly from Buffalo to Orlando, there is nothing under $100 (one way) anymore. It cost almost as much to fly to Orlando as fly to LAX.

Try to buy your tickets as soon as the flights come out. I bought Air Trans (Buffalo-Orlando for $259/pp return) when they came out on Feb 8 and today Feb 12 the price has gone up by $195/pp.

Air Canada and Westjet want over $600/pp and Southwest prices are gone up too since they opned up on Feb 8.

Last year I purchased return tickets departing Sept 14th from JetBlue on February 11th (second Thursday of the month). And the prices had already been out for a day or two by then.

And then, within a month after I purchased from JetBlue, Air Canada dropped their price down to $72 (paid $69). Because of the taxes it was still $400 cheaper out of Buffalo, but we would have travelled out of Toronto instead for that.

Wonder when JB will release their prices for September this year. I'm hoping AC will drop their prices again after JetBlue's are released!

We often travel at the end of August. The earliest I have bought my airfare has been end of May. I generally pay about $69 each way. We are also going this year around August 21 but could be as late as Aug 25. I've already looked at the fares and will continue to do so but I don't expect to be booking until May or June. I'm hoping to be paying at the most $79 each way. Right now I can get flights that work for my dates for $119 eahc way....while that's not what I am willing to pay it is a good price compared to YYZ.

southwest will open fares from september30 and on, march 14 . we are flying down september 29 but have to wait to get our return flight for October6 so will be ready to book on the 14 of march:thumbsup2

I sure hope we can find $69 flights. We are also going the end of Aug into Sept. We have always driven, but if we can find good prices on a flight, we are hoping to fly down this year.

I found flights on Delta out of Detroit for $179 each taxes in return trip, but not really wanting to drive the 5 hrs to detroit.

When are you looking at for your depature date? Right now Air Canada has tickets for $159 Toronto to Orlando. That would be better than driving to Detroit.

Is that roundtrip?

We are traveling Aug 27 to Sept 6.

The only problem with that is the taxes...$149. The taxes from BUF on a roundtrip tickets are approx $27.

Opps, no sorry! I wondered why you were looking at possibly driving to Detroit! :lmao: No, that is 1-way.

I keep waiting, and waiting, and waiting for the price to drop some more and JetBlue to release theirs! We need tickets for Sept 19 - 28th.

Well, the prices did drop tonight... $10 - LOL
