Southwest and Bags

So the wife and I are pretty big, (but hey in the last month we both lost 20lbs so go us!) But because of our size we're buying a third seat on the plane like we always do. I know that each of us are allowed to carry on one carry on each, but because of the third seat - can we carry on a 3 one as well?

It would probably be best to contact Southwest about this, but I would guess no. The carry-on policy relates to bags per customer, not bags per seat.

I would think you could check up to 6 bags, though. Never done it but I'd call and ask.

I would say no. They are still making the announcements that due to FAA regulations you are limited to 2 carry on bags. The policy is more FAA related than airline related from what I have read. They stopped me when I forgot to put my small crossbody bag in my backpack and made me show them it fit in the bag.
