How can you save on Southwest Airlines tickets? I am a Rapids Reward Member and I have the Southwest credit card. Unfortunately Target doesn't sell Southwest Airlines gift cards so I can't save 5% with the RedCard.

Any other thoughts?

if you have coke rewards there is a $20 off wanna get away fare discount code for 100 points. it's good for up to 8 tickets in a single transaction.

There is a RR shopping program that allows you to earn points by clicking through their website instead of going directly to the merchant's website. It's not a ton, but every bit helps!

I have to start remembering to check more often if I can shop through swagbucks.

I'm glad I hadn't purchased airfare yet.

It will be over 2,000 points earned!!

Thanks!! :cool1:

  1. eRewards and eMiles survey sites.
  2. RR shopping
  3. RR dining
  4. Change your electric provider to Energy Plus (but change it back when the promotional period is over because their rates will skyrocket).
  5. Make hotel reservations through their portal.
  6. Rent cars thru their car reservation portal.

I have been doing this (except the Energy Plus) for a couple of months now and the miles add up fast! I am also working extra hard on Swagbucks since they have SW gift cards as rewards. I know this might not help right now but it might for future trips - My Coke Rewards has been having SW gift cards as rewards during the holidays.

I do a ton of online shopping and have earned thousands of points in the last few months - amazing how quickly they add up - already have a free flight!!

I was at Target yesterday and they have SWA gift cards. They were $50 cards in the electronics/movie section and at the register.

Between the points I earn from using my Southwest Credit Card and doing surveys on ERewards, I have not had to pay for airfare in 3 years now for me or my 2 kids (and I don't use my credit card that much). I highly recommend E Rewards, I rack up thousands of miles a year.

how do you rack up so many on erewards? I have been a member for awhile, and still haven't made 500 miles for deposit yet!

Coke rewards is offering $20 off coupon for 100 coke points right now

E-rewards only allows you to "cash in" every 30 days. I get 500 points a month (equal to $25) and it would be more if I could. Their surveys are great 'cause they are often between $3-5 per survey. The key I have found is doing them right away, as soon as possible. Actually, I have found this to be true of most survey sites. Do them in the morning, or as soon as you get an invitation. The longer you wait, the more they fill up. Obviously not everyone can, but I have been very successful with e-rewards as long as I do them soon after getting the e-mail.

I don't get survey emails. I just get those click-through things that earn 5 points, but after the first few times of clicking on everything, they are few and far between.

I also use mypoints so most of my online shopping I do through that.

Wow really?!?! Do you do a lot of the surveys? There are months where I have to wait to cash in for the 500 miles because you can only do one reward every 30 days.
I would maybe go in and update your profile see if that helps you get more surveys to do.

The 5 point emails are from e-miles, not e-rewards. DH and I both have emiles and e rewards, and rack up points that way; I have the RR shopping, but I find that other places give a better reward (like mypoints or ebates). I get a lot of "surprise" points from RR dining- I've been surprised to get points from places we ate at on vacation that I didn't even realize they were on the plan! That's the best!

If you buy swa gc at target, use your target cc and pharmacy rewards coupon for a total of 10% off. Be aware though, you can ONLY use 4 types of payment when buying tickets from swa ( 3 gc + 1 cc) per transaction. I just did this last week and ordered my ticket separately from my husbands (used 6 gc in total)

Just keep checking, or sign up with giftcardrescue.com or cardpool.com to get notifications when they have SWA gift cards. They sell them at 5% off, and free shipping.
