Beginning May 9, 2004, Southwest Airlines will offer daily non-stop flights from Philadelphia to Orlando. Based on how Southwest has opened in other new markets, there should be some great fares during the first few months. I wouldn't be surprised to see flights as low as $59 each way as Southwest tries to become established in the Philadelphia market.

Also, Southwest is now booking flights thru May 8, 2004.

Thats kewl news! except for the booking through the 8th- My vacation is oh the 4-14th of may.....

That should be great news for Philly travelers, as Southwest typically drives down EVERYONE's fares on routes they enter.

I hope this means that flights from nearby airports --> Avoca/Scranton/Wilkes-Barre & Allentown will decrease to remain competitive.

I can't wait for SW to start flying from Philly. I hope fares really go down and stay down for a while.

I keep checking Southwest's website and they still don't list Philly on their schedule. I'm hoping to book for April. Anyone how to book a flight from Philly from the website?
