How hard is it to get an "A" boarding pass?? Does everyone get online at the same time (24 before flight) so the system gets bogged down?? I'm stressing about not having assigned seats.
Our first SW flight is this Friday out of Midway.
I've never had a problem getting an "A" boarding pass. I have printed them at midnight and also 8 hours later. I don't think that everyone that flies with SWA actually prints their own boarding passes (let alone does it at the earliest possible time). Only us Dis'ers

I agree. Don't stress. at least 50% of the people on your plane probably dont know about SW A,B,or C boarding passes. Some of the ones who do dont know you can check in on line 24 hours ahead.
I only see 2 in 10 people with self printed boarding passes.
I just flew for the first time with southwest and I was stressed about this also. Things went fairly smoothly. 24 hours before my flight I logged on and got the A pass. My only problem was the return flight because I was at the park 24 hours before the flight however my sister went online and got me the A pass. You can then print it out at the airport. I hate not having assigned seats but the airfare is so much cheaper than other airlines. Also if you are staying onsite, the front desk will print your boarding passes.
Thank you, everyone! I feel better. We are only going for the weekend (my husband's birthday Saturday!), and we couldn't pass up the cheap airfare! We'll have a laptop with us, so hopefully we'll remember to check in for Monday's flight!
