Although the sale did not help me one bit, thanks for posting!!!

We are flying on a Tuesday Aug. 19th and then coming home on a Friday the 29th. I did check for a flight for Thursday the 28th but no sale prices. They are still the same as they were. My SIL who is coming with us is leaving on the 24th. I checked for a flight for her on Monday the 25th and again, the price is the same as it was; no sale I was curious so I searched each day after our departure from MCO which is the 29th. The first day I saw a sale price was September 3rd. Nothing available from the 25th thru Sept 2nd even though SWA advertises the sale starts on the 25th (at least that is the case for flights from MCO to ISP).

In thinking about while writing this, it could be because it is Labor Day weekend.

Our flight home from MCO to Day went down again so I saved another couple hundred points per person. It is a pain to rebook with a companion pass though. When I called, she couldn't get me the cheaper fare through her computer so I had to cancel and rebook the whole thing. Oh well....it's always nice to get more points!

I found the sale when I was insomniacing at 4:30 AM.
Our flights to Disneyland went down to $342 RT from Louisville. YEA!!

Out other flights didn't budge in price though.

Thursdays now excluded? I tried to time my trip to fly Thursday and Tuesday. And the "sale" is only $20 off what the price was already. That'll do it. Driving. Good luck to everyone else.

Need advice! I purchased 4,500 points this morning so we'd have enough for my daughter's flight. My credit card shows it as a pending charge ($123). I never got a confirmation and the points aren't showing up in her account (it's been over 2 hours now).

I called Southwest and they show no record of the transaction, but said it could take 48 hours "although it is usually instant".

Called American Express and they confirmed it's showing as a pending transaction, but they can't tell if it didn't actually go through and the transaction may just drop off without charging my account.

Would you buy points again? Or just wait? I don't want to get double charged, but I also don't want to lose the ticket we need.

No help here from the sale, in fact our flights are now over 200 each ways, when I paid just over 200 round trip when I booked them the day the schedule opened up. Guess its a good thing I didn't wait around to buy! On the other hand, my MIL may be flying from memphis and her flight combo is now under 200 round trip, but she has firmed her days off work up yet so not sure she is gonna take advantage of it.

Thanks for posting, but it didn't do us any good. It seems that now it's only good for Tuesday and Wednesdays, and we fly in on a Thursday.

You can go online and on the right side click "Change flight" and then go from there. You can choose the same flight you had before and it will put the extra miles back in your account.

Thanks for the heads up! Was able to get a $156 credit back for our return flight in August. Unfortunately our flight down is prior to the deal dates so no change there but I'm happy with that $156!!
