Southern california resident proof check at Disneyland with discounted tickets?

We are going to DL in June while visiting my sister in LA. She mentioned she saw the tickets sold at Costco for southern California residents. We are from MA and would like to ask my sister to get the tickets for us, but wondering if we will be asked to show southern California resident proof at the gate. Anyone knows about it?

My sister used a SoCal resident ticket in August and they didn't ask her for ID at the DL gate. She lives in San Diego so we weren't sweating it. (We have APs.) I had thought they were supposed to check ID at the time of purchase, but she said they didn't at the Vons store where she bought it.

Just wear a Charger/Dodger/Angel/Padre cap and I'm sure they'll put you right through!

Or only stay for a couple hours just to watch the fireworks. Don't buy any food or souvenirs. And be sure to park in the DTD lot. They'll know you're a local for sure. ;-)

I bought a 4 day ticket at Costco with a 50 dollar Disney gift cirtificate included in the price and used it just a few days ago, and nope, they never checked ! I went first to the ticket window with my friend who is a resident thinking they would need to exchange what I had for an actual ticket but nope, the CM told me to go right ahead to the gate! Costco also said if I had any problems and didn't use it, I could return it for a refund to them.

Yes, and make sure you eat your Subway sandwiches or KFC in the counter service seating area.
