The Southeast Michigan chapter of the National Fantasy Fan Club is having its first ever "Mostly Disney" Show and Sale on April 6th at the Roostertail Club in Detroit. (100 Marquette Dr; Detroit, MI) We will also be hosting special guest Alex Maher, from the Disney Design Group in Walt Disney World. MouseSurplus will have a large selection for sale brought in from their Florida warehouse. Hours are 11am-4pm and admission is $4 (kids under 10 free). Dealers welcome. For more info contact Keith Iler (kiler@aol.com)

darn it! I will be up that way visiting my dad (Mt. Clemens), but likely leaving on the 6th to come home (NC)!

Does anyone have any more info on this? Do you think it would be worth driving there from GR? I would be interesting in purchasing inexpensive trading pins. Thanks!

We have a meeting to discuss more specifics on Sunday, so I should have more info on Monday.

I have been waiting for an event like this to come near me! Can't wait for more details!

Yes we will have pins, as well as vintage and current collectibles from Walt Disney World, Disneyland and the Disney stores.

At the conclusion of the sale, Alex Maher will also be giving a short presentation about Walt to everyone in attendance.

This should be a lot of fun, I am really excited that our little club in Michigan is able to host a Disney guest.

You do not have to be a member to enjoy the show and sale, everyone is welcome.

Another quick update on the show and sale.

Tom Tumbusch from Tomart's Disneyana Update magazine will also be joining us.

Hope to see you there

Paul

Thank you Ms. Mary. I would have shown up on Saturday. I had to go back and re-read the original post about four times, because I somehow screwed up the date in my head. See you SUNDAY!!

Today's the day - can't wait to see what they have - will post the goodies I find when I get home later.

I went not knowing what to expect but it sure was a nice get-together - I did make a few purchases and really enjoyed talking with a lot of the people there. I didn't get to stay as long as I would have liked but am looking forward to going to another one in the not too distant future.

I also wasn't sure what to expect but it was nice to chat with people about Disney! I bought a few pins and some lithographs. I think the only downside was that I learned about the Dayton Disneyana Show in June and now I want to go!!

I wasn't sure what to expect either. I bought a couple pins and talked for a couple hours with one of the gals that put it together. Not bad for their first year though. Everyone has to cut their teeth sometime.
