Hi,
Going on the Dream from Southampton. Check the Southampton page about arrival information as they are now operating out of different terminals depending on the date. I've currently looking at the terminal listed in my vacation overview pack which you get with your luggage tags and there is a different ship there. Checked the Southampton page and now it says it is a different terminals completely. No communication from Disney regarding the terminal change so please be aware

which cruise are you on? I'm on the 4 night Spanish cruise to Bilbao on Wednesday. Ive been following The Dream in Europe over the last few months on Cruise Mapper. Ive also been checking the Southampton Cruise Ship Schedule https://www.southamptonvts.co.uk/Li...nd_Cruise_Ship_Schedule/Cruise_Ship_Schedule/

I have pre booked a taxi from my hotel in Southampton to the terminal on my embarkation day

Ive known for a long time, maybe since I started tracking The Dream, I cant remember when. The Dream was at Horizon Terminal for the July and August cruises. This was the terminal that The Magic used during the staycation cruises in 2021. From today onwards, the 4 night French cruise to Rochelle The Dream is now at Queen Elizabeth II Terminal. This terminal can be accessed by Dock Gate 4.

When I got my Disney luggage tags in the post, Horizon Terminal is on my cruise document, so all the documents must have been printed before Southampton Port Authorities changed the terminal.

This is the official address
Queen Elizabeth II Cruise Terminal,
38/39 Test Road,
Eastern Docks,
Southampton, SO14 3GG

Yeah, I'm on the 4 night la Rochelle, purposefully closing a Hotel across the street from horizons as that's what it says on the luggage. I can see the Hotizons terminal abd it is definitely not the Dream, leading me to check the cruise line website and see that it has changed. Luckily managed to book a taxi from our hotel to the QE II terminal but a heads up from Dosney would have been appreciated. Just making this thread so others are aware

The terminal information has been available for a few months on the Southampton port website. I'm surprised you left it until embarkation morning to check the terminal information. I have booked Ibis near Horizon, but I booked it a long time ago to get a cheap rate. Terminal information is determined by the port authorities, I'm the type of person who double checks all information and not just rely on one source. I don't expect people to tell me things.

I did check several times on the Dosney website and it only said Horizons terminal for me. This whole thread is supposed to be just a FYI for anyone who hasn't realised for future cruises out if Southampton to double check the terminal as the website says one thing and the luggage booklet says another.

I do however think some kind of communication should have been sent out by Disney if the terminal had changed from the what was originally on the website/on the luggage booklet/any emails we've had about check in

Im just surprised you didnt double check that the information on Disney website / luggage tags was the same as the Southampton port website. Disney dont have control over which terminal they use, they go to whichever one they are told to by the port authorities. Port schedules change. I guess I'm more aware of taking personal responsibility for my travel information and not just relaying on Disney to tell me things.

I am sorry, but it is absolutely DCL‘s job to inform the cruisers about a significant change in terminal. Yes, it might have been available when checking the port schedule. But I do expect any transport provider to inform me if they leave from a different location than originally announced.

Thank you for posting this! As someone who has not yet sailed out of Southampton but hope to one day, I would not know there are two cruise terminals so would not think to check to see if the Disney terminal assignment had changed. I’m also surprised Disney has not sent anything out about the change.

Enjoy your cruise!

The poster started this thread to inform us not to get a lecture about personal responsibility.

I've been on 25+ cruises of which 13 have been on DCL ships. While I do lots of research prior to each trip, I have never verified the port information at the port website. I relied on the cruise lines to let me know where to go.

Your comment is pretty harsh and inconsistent with the very friendly standards of Disboards.

I agree. I've never even thought to check the port website, let alone try to find out independent of what DCL told me. I've also not worried about it too much as I figure there will be signs at port directing me. I'm usually sailing out of Port Canaveral, so maybe it's different at other ports.

But I would absolutely take whatever my cruise line told me and wouldn't think to try to independently verify. It's very intrepid for that who want to do that, but I would think that is the norm

I concur, I've literally never checked the port website to make sure the schedule has my ship listed and I'm a big researcher. Disney absolutely should have conveyed the change in terminal to cruisers.
Agree. I too am a big researcher and review prior to travel.
Airlines just updated my reservations and confirmed a change. I believe DCL should notify of any changes as well.
Maybe because I am using DCL bus to port it was not a worry for me. Incidentally, I have yet to have an email or confirmation on the bus to port having paid upon booking.
Always appreciate any updates and reports by DISers. Thank you @Gusey for presenting this helpful info.

I just received an email, via my travel agent, reminding me that my September cruise from Southampton will be leaving out of the QEII terminal and providing this address (which is slightly different from what's posted above but matches what's in the Getting to the Port section of the DCL website):
QEII Cruise Terminal
Berth 38
Dock Gate 4
Test Road
Southampton
SO14 3GG

I don't know if someone at Disney saw this thread or if they independently realized the information with the luggage tags for late summer cruises was incorrect.
