We are currently at the Yacht Club. We love the resort but in the rooms there’s this sound that I can only describe as a motor kicking on and off. It happens about every 60 seconds and when on, it’s an annoying vibrating noise. What the heck is it?!?! We’ve stayed here before and didn’t have this sound so I can only assume it’s something near our room. We’re in 1069. My DH said it doesn’t bother him but sounds like this drive me bonkers!

Oh...and when the sound is on, it’s for about 10 seconds. Then off for about 60. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Day and night.

Are you next to a service elavator? The noise in our room at Beach Club was so ridiculously loud that we had to move.

They placed me near a boiler room the one and only time I stayed at POR in the mansions. There was a constant cycle of noise like pipes clanging. The front desk had no clue what it was. The maintenance guy was the one that showed me the boiler room — said that was normal noise for the location. They wouldn’t move me as they were full. By far - that was the worse Disney resort stay ever.

i agree with ShirikiUtundu. For what you are paying to stay there, you should not have to put up with that. Either go to the desk or call maintenance.

See if you are near a service elevator (any doors on your hallway that don't have regular, in order room numbers?). Like a PP, last Aug. we were near one at BC (not even next to it - 2 rooms over) and the noise was most of the day and night, sounded like a motor. I couldn't believe it, for the cost of the rooms there. We couldn't change rooms so got them to send up a box fan, which we basically kept on the entire time we were in the room. (It took 2 days of asking many times a day to get that box fan.)

When we stayed at YC in Sept. we had the same experience! I really think it was coming from the shower area, maybe the fan? I kept saying it sounded like the queue for FOP!!! (think about it, it does!!!)

When we stayed in YC about two weeks ago, we had a similar issue. It sounded like a toilet running constantly, but it wasn't coming from the bathroom. The sound seemed to be coming from a panel just next to the room door. We only stayed one night, pre-cruise, so we didn't ask anyone about it. If we were staying there for more than one night, I would have called engineering (if you press the "housekeeping" button on your phone, you will have the option to be connected to engineering. You can let them know what's going on and they should send someone to your room to take a look).

The OP is very near something for sure! Dont know what it is though.

Maybe its a dog on a ventilator next door.

So that little black square is a single elevator. That’s where it’s coming from! Who knew an elevator across the hall and down one could travel that far. Annoying for sure but we’re not moving. Too much hassle at this point. I don’t know what the rest of that larger gray square is. The two small gray squares below us in the picture are ice machine room and laundry room.

I haven’t ridden FOP yet! This Friday!!!
