Soul Food

Just got back from lunch and I am so excited!

A new soul food restaurant opened and it is GOOD

I love all food, but Soul Food always held a special place for me

Today’s entrees:

Sweet Potato Pie
Southern Fried Chicken
Maccaroni and Cheese

The chicken sounds good. I don't like sweet potatoes and I don't eat mac-n-cheese very often. I hope you washed all that down with a good ole glass of sweet tea.

Yep really sweet tea....and did you have cornbread? You have to have cornbread!

My grandmother actually made collards last night! Good lord this house stank!!!

Is that really considered soul food?

My wife's favorite meal is cracklin' (backbone meat of a hog) and collards!

And cornbread of course.

She ate a lot of cornbread and pinto beans growing up!

They have a Poke Salat festival every year in her grandfather's town.

I keep my foot in my mouth all the time, so I eat a lot of sole food!
