In 2004 when we drove to WDW in our 1995 Windstar with our kids and my parents it cost roughly $275 in the van. DH said this past year in our 2006 Escape we paid roughly $300 but we did notice a price hike $/gallon. We still find it a lot less money to drive down then the cost of flying (this is including hotels etc) The gas prices are roughly what we paid round trip. We never drained the tank completely whenever we stopped for food or bathrooms we gassed up. However while in Orlando we had used all the gas and it cost $29 us to fill the vehicle, when it cost about $50 to fill here. We just traded in our 1991 Tracker for a 1999 Ford explorer (has very low km) DH and kids want to take it 'cause it's a little roomier then the Escape, but we'll have to see. Good luck in your search for a new vehicle.....Id stay clear from the '95 Windstar ours was a lemon..that resulted in a stop in Loudon Tennessee at a friendly fellow by the name of Toad to get a new Altenator. This year we found out later is infamous for trouble.
