The dining pkg has been around for a while but the summer promotion was FREE!. You had to book by Aug and use it before Oct. 4th. From most reports I've read though the dining pkg is still a good deal.

Nope, it's not the new special. The Dining Plan is (somewhat) permanent, at least through 2006. The special for this six- or seven-week period was that it was free if booked within a certain time frame. It's not being offered free on Disney's website now, or if it is, I couldn't find it.
