I had an AP this past year. We took 5 great trips on it but with these new rules, a son entering HS, and uncertainty about when we could go to WDW again, I let my pass expire & did not renew. I am also one that likes to do the spur of the moment type trips - planned about 2 months to 2 weeks in advance.
My questions are these - We are thinking of going to WDW for spring break the last week in March 2006. I looked at the rates - we want GF and BWI and they are SUPER steep. What would be the best way to get an AP discount (if offered)? I don't even remember if AP discounts are offered during peak season. Anyone know if they are?
Should I buy the AP soon and book online with the Best Rate program, or can I CALL CRO (say in Jan or Feb) and get an AP discount (if rooms are available with the discount) Or do you HAVE to book online early for that best rate??
If I bought my AP in Sept, and made the ressie for March, my AP isn't activated until I arrive at the parks, right??
Do you have to book the 60 days out?? If all the AP rates are not taken can you still call CRO for the AP discount at the last minute???
I haven't really kept up with this new program, so sorry if I am asking redundant questions. I don't like change.
Thanks for any info-
