Sorry, another DDE question re:paying the check

My In-Laws will be joining us (my family of 4) for a week down at WDW. I have made all all the PSs for all 6 of us during that week. In past trips, we usually just take turns paying for meals. Will we still be able to do this when using my DDE card? My husband and/or I will be present at all the meals since we are the cardholders, but can they pay the check with their cc on some of the meals?

WHat about seperate checks? Can I use my DDE for friends check if they are eating with us and still get seperate bills??

The rules are fairly simple.

All people must be on the same check to use the DDE discount.

The person presenting the credit card does not have to be the same person who presented the DDE card.

There is a limit of up to 10 people per party to recieve the discount.

I've had a DDE card for several years. In many cases we dined with relatives and friends who were nice enough to take care of the bill

Even on our most recent trip in December, my friends paid and they still accepted my DDE card since I was not only present at the meal but dined as part of the party as well. Never had a problem using my DDE card when "others" took care of the bill.

My Dh and I have the DDE. We're a family of 5. In Oct we're going with my entire family (16 people). At sit down meals, I know they'll take the discount off of a total of 10 meals....we're 8 adults and 8 kids. Will they take the discount off of 8 adults and 2 kids for us?


How does this work for counter service? If DH and I both have cards and go through the line with other family members, do we just put everything on one order and then sort out who owes what later? Also, can DH go through with some members of the family and then can I go through? For example....can my DH (at all star food court) go through and pay with himself, my son, my sister, her DH and their 3 kids and THEN, can I go through (with my card) and pay for myself, our 2 DD's, my brother, his DW and their 2 kids?

I don't want to try and sneak extra out of the system but I do want to help my siblings out in whatever way the DDE allows...

i know it was explained to me that my dh could use his card in one park and i could use mine in another. so i'd say same would hold true at all stars. heck if your family is anything like mine you are bound to end up making a few extra trips thru lines for extra forgotten food. go thru differant cashiers if possible.
