what is everyones opinion of college sororities or fraternities? im jw

the greek row at my campus is filled with horror stories and broken hearts, dreams, and beer bottles. mostly beer bottles.

They're great! It's even better to live at the sorority house.

At our Gamma Phi Beta events we see ladies that have been close friends for 20, 30, 40, even 50 years after school. Amazing.

I HATED sorority girls. They're too Pink, Girly and "omg.. yeaahh" but My Cousin AND Sister joined one and they have GREAT ONES... My sister and Cousin aren't like that AT ALL. And I met my Sister's Sisters (lol Get it?) and they were very nice and fun. It was a great way for them to meet friends.

Although sororities are MOSTLY pink girly and "omg...whaat??" not all of them are and some of them are pretty cool.

I don't like Frats however..... Never have and I dont think I ever will.

Every girl on my floor of my dorm is in a sorority. They fit the sorority stereotype perfectly. They're the most annoying people ever. They run up and down the hall every night screaming at the top of their lungs until 1:30am and feel they have the right to do so since they don't have class in the morning. That's all I'm gonna say on that - I could go on and on and on and on...

Not all sorority girls are bad, but these are dreadful.

two weeks into college, I have yet to meet a mature frat boy or a sorority sister I like.

we don't have much of a greek system in canada, my school has 1 sorority and one frat, and they aren't on the same campus as me.

i think if i could i'd join a sorority, unfortunately i think i fit the mold

I don't think so. At least, you wouldn't fit in with the ones I've met. You're too smart.

the only reason i ask is bc my cousin is in her 2nd year of college and decided to join a sorority. it really surprised me cause she's not really the type that i would imagine being in a sorority.

They are HUGE here!!!

Rush week is something that everyone looks forward to every year. Most of the guys and girls who are in them, aren't very serious students (I hate to generalize that but it is true) and they tend to be wanting an MRS degree (find a husband).

A few friends of mine went into one, and they aren't my friend anymore! They turned out to be complete airheads, and really annoying, bratty and dumb.
