Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom? Yes or No?

Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom seems like it could be a waste of time...I am not sure if we should plan on this attraction or if this will just derail our plans. Any thoughts?

How do you go about playing the game? Do you go to Guest Services to get the map?

I think you go to the fire station on main street to get your cards and map.

I'm currently trying to find out which characters are in which area so I can decide which area I want to request. I want dd8 to be familiar with the characters on the screens.

Are the lines still existent for this game ?
seeing the portal open (and the small movie) just in front of us kind of ruin the experience IMO

Also where can we find which characters are where ?
I understand there is 2 adventures: Adventureland & Fantasyland but which characters are we gonna see if we choose one or the other ?
