SotMK "booster packs", each supposedly containing at least one of the super-rare cards 61-70 all SotMK geeks have been clamoring for, will apparently start selling next month for $11.95.

See: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...card-game-coming-to-walt-disney-world-resort/

The trading card game will contain seven randomly selected spell cards (including at least one super rare spell card), one of four game boards, game rules, new tokens and a complete spell card checklist.

It's about time they offered a way to play at home. Although I think I was hoping for a little more creativity, and the possibility to play against another person instead of just defeating the same villain each time.

Save your money on the booster packs! What a huge rip off! We made 4 trips to Emporium for them, finally had DSis get lucky. She gave DS for Christmas, he just opened: 6 duplicate cards from the park & 1 new one. I hope he wants to play the game......I feel so cheated. I was expecting more than 1 unusual card per pack. Does Disney really think we are going to buy 9+ of these to get all the cards? Ugh, huge disappointment; save your time & money! (and sanity & avoid these)

The packs each have one lightning card--not available in the normal packs handed out for free--and six of the usual set. Pretty sure it says something to that effect on the packaging.

And yes, I did. It's not for everyone.

so what is the 'at home' game like? is that worth it at all?

We've played in the parks (with the portals) many times if that helps to explain it.

I haven't actually played it, as the lightning cards were really all I was interested in. (Kinda sad, I know. ;))

I've read a couple of reports on other forums that it wasn't all that great as just a board game. YMMV.

It was worth it for me. I was able to get all 10 cards, and now have a complete set of 1-70 (plus the 2 party cards).
