Sooooo absolutely confussed!! HELP!!!

Okay, here is the situation...me, hubby, 3 kids (all pretty small) are headed to Disney World in Feb. 2008. Here is where the confussion starts. We don't know WHERE to stay...we usually stay at the Yacht club, and LOVE it, but, are open to other resorts. (deluxe) So...resorts we are considering, GF, Contemporary, Yacht club or boardwalk...I would like to try a monorail, but, want to keep the hotel bill somewhat in check. So, question #1 WHERE to stay (room must fit 5).

Question #2, when to book. We would join AAA if we could get a good discount, would also purchase an AP (we will be going 3 times in the next July - July 2008) for a good discount. So WHEN is the best time to book? I know 2008 rates aren't out yet, but is it best to book the day rates come out like the cruise? If I book through AAA and then AP rates come out later, for less, can I cancel AAA?

Please help, I am so confussed! Thanks all you experts out there!!!!!

If you look at mousesavers.com there is a history of AP rates that are announced november to december that usually include dates january 2 thru mid february (around the 15th). Reading this board the last few months, it seems there is a huge percentage of people who book a room or package and then change it multiple times as new rates/offers come out so you would not be unusual if you did that.

Thanks for the info. I guess I should go ahead and book now, and just keep changing my room when new discounts come out? Is that what people usually do?

If you book room-only with the AAA discount, you can switch to the AP discount later. I have no clue about booking a package through AAA.
