When I called about the summer discounts for the value resorts through 8/14 I was told POP & ASMovies rec'd only 5% off but if you stayed at ASMusic or sports then it was a 15%.

A suggestion you could opt for a split stay if you wanted the extra 10% off and stay next door at Music until the 14th then stay at movies for the rest of your trip - even if you don't have a car you could move your own luggage or have luggage services do that for you.

It's not much of a savings, but I just compared August 10 - 19 on the summer offer and rack rate with 2 adults. With the summer discount, the total is $1426. At full price, the total is $1574. This is at All Star SPORTS, however.

I think your issue here is not so much DATES as it is resort. They've been incredibly stingy with discounts at Movies. Both the spring room only offer and this new summer offer are only 5% off.

If you're willing to switch to Sports or Music, you can save the 15% on those first 4 nights of your stay.

Have you priced your stay at a moderate? Since the discount isn't valid at the value, you might be able to move up to a mod for a similar price. Just a thought!

most discounts are put out to fill rooms and if you look at crowd calendars, the first half of August is expected to be fairly busy (7-8s), vs. the second half which goes down to 3-6s
