im staying at all star movies... checkin is 8/10...even with the new summer promo i do not qualify for any discounts as im staying at a value resort..value resort discount ends on 8/4....i miss both free dining and the summer promo....should i count on any other promos or is this probably it for me? im paying full 100% rack rates..no help in site...

Same here, going 8/17-8/24. By the time these promos are over, I bet they'll be offering the fall discounts completely passing us over.

what are you gonna do....promo would have been nice, but atleast we are going to disney... plus i purchased my air fare at a cheaper rate... i noticed same tickets now are around 400.00 more for my family..so i recouped some of my money by getting early flight tickets..

Wonder if there is some thing going on those weeks, to keep the rooms booked up ,so that they don't have to offer a discount? Hope the parks won't be super busy!

Didn't they just put out a 25% off Resorts, and I think it's only 15% off of Value resorts from like June till Aug something. Go check it out and then call and see if you can apply it to your reservation.

I think a lot of families go then so they can go just before their children have to start school so they do not need to offer the discounts.

I went a few years ago, the last week in August and we did get free dining then.

Have you actually tried booking your stay with the summer discount? Just for fun I put in your dates at ASMo on the Disney website under Special offers and the nights of August 10-14 were discounted some. With the discount the nights of the 10&11 were 96.90, without they were 102; the nights of the 12-14 were 82.65, without the discount they were 87. It doesn't equal much of a savings, 5%, but every little bit helps

And if you wanted to switch to ASSp or ASMu the savings is a little more, 15%, on the nights of the 10-14. Just a thought

Back in January they sent out PIN codes for this time to alot of people (like us!) and they probably had a good response. We booked POR at 20% off for that time period, which is what they are now offering for the weeks before this one now.

yankeeslover did you call and ask if they could apply code C8Q to the 8/10-8/14 part of your res? Because I'm pretty sure WDW has made a typing error in their website pricing example when showing the 8/4 date on their Value price.

JMO but I think someone mistyped that date as 8/4 and it should be 8/14 instead (as the promo actually reads "for stays most nights June 15, 2012 through August 14, 2012").

I can only add that there's still hope for all of you! Last year some of the deals that would help your dates didn't come out until May

I believe the discount is offered at the Value and Moderate resorts between 8/5/12-8/14/12 but may be a different percentage from the other time period. I think Disney is advertising the Value resort discount as "through 8/4" because the rates are different after that date and possibly a different discount applies as well.

I've added a note to this effect on my site.

We are in same boat We arrive on August 15th so no discounts apply! I guess I just have to not think about it anymore. Like someone said we saved big time with our airline tickets so I guess it all evens out in the end, but it sure would be nice to have a double discount too! Maybe next time!

I got a pin code beginning August 5th. It's the stay play dine discount.
It was for free QS dining. I checked resorts in the value, moderate, and deluxe levels and all were valid. I just booked CBR. It might be worth calling and asking about that discount.

We have the same problem since we're going Aug 10-19. I was hoping to try the dining plan for the first time but I don't think that it's worth it at full price. We're not finding any discounted rooms either.

We are going Aug 8 - Aug 18 staying at POR. When the last deal came out expiring on the 14th I called. I did save around $200. I was hoping for free dining but any little bit helps. Good Luck Everyone!!!
