I am so excited,i measured my dd (5yrs) today, and she is just over the 44inch tall "guide" (without shoes) for the bigger rides! She loves the big fast rides, fantasyland is just not cutting it anymore..
This is our 3rd yr going, and she was just shy last yr, about 2 inches i think.. which means she is growing fast! LOL but, I would like to see another inch on her, before november, just to be safe!! :thumbsup2
I am so excited for her, she was dying to get on Space Mt. and now Ex.Everest!

Yeah! That is so exciting for you. I have been doing the same thing with my DD. She is just at 40 inches! She is the same way with the big rides and will be turning 4 in July. I can't wait to go for her birthday!

Congratulations to your daughter!! What an exciting trip this will be for her. She is a brave 5 year old to want to ride those fast coasters!! My son did Space Mountain when he was 6 years old and his face was white as a ghost when he got off, but he did enjoy it. :)

I was thrilled too when my DS 5 was 44 inches at his last doctor's appt. Then we went to Kings Dominion and he was too scared to ride almost everything. DD 7 is even more scared of riding, so I guess we won't be doing many rides. Oh well. :confused3

My DD 6 is 47.5 inches. She's grown 3.5" since kindergarten started last year.

I'm sure she'll get that extra half inch by May 2007 -- and then some!

LOL!! That is sooo funny! I've been doing the same thing with my youngest dd. We've been putting a trip off until she's tall enough to ride everything. She's quite the adventurous type and LOVES big, scary rides so we figured it would just be too cruel to take her before she's tall enough to ride everything.

She's now 44 inches, and we have just started planning a trip for this winter ('07). :cool1:
