Hi Everyone!



We are planning our Escape wedding for October 15, 2010!

I thought I would start this planning journal because I have noticed there are not a lot of small escape PJs.

It will be just me and my prince charming.....and we couldn't be more excited!!

Ok! So here is the good stuff!

What we have planned for the Ceremony thus far!

Colours - Since it will be just the two of us the colors are kind of different. I am wearing white and my DF will be wearing a black suit, gray shirt, and a light pink tie and hanky.

Ceremony - Sea Breeze Point!

Officiant - Jack Day! We picked him because we had read such wonderful things about him! He has been really nice and very efficient. I think he looks adorable too!

Transportation - We are saving our money and just going with the limo. We didn't think we needed anything more than that. We are excited about the limo!

Ceremony Entertainment - We are keeping with just the violin. I am not sure if we could have picked anything else. We were happy about the violinist.

Ceremony Decor - I have seen many pictures of SBP and we think it is beautiful enough without a bunch of decorations. Since it will be just the two of us we are going to use that money for other things!

Flowers - My flowers will be a combination of 3 different shades of pink roses. Starting at the very light almost ivory pink rose going to the medium pink rose.
I took the idea from this picture. (it actually has 4 colors in it but i didn't want the ivory in my bouquet.... I am addicted to pink)

The DF will have the lightest pink for his boutonnière. Rosie is also doing the hidden Mickey in both mine and the DF's flowers, at no extra cost. IDK if it is always free but that is what she told me on the phone.

Cake and Flavor - We chose the Mickey's Delight with Silver. We are still deciding on the flavor. We really wanted white but they don't offer white for wedding cakes. So we will probably go with the yellow. We are torn between the White Chocolate Mousse and the White Buttercream fillings. If you have any ideas i would love to hear them....

Hello from a fellow Oct bride! I have seen you on the Oct thread but didn't realize you were eloping as well! I think I am going to start my PJ since I am done with school and, you are right, there are very few small Escape weddings.

Are you doing a special dinner afterwards? For the cake, why don't you do one layer of each, the buttercream and the white chocolate mousse? Are you using Disney Photography? Sorry for so many questions!

My next semester starts next week... But I am on a down hill now, this is my last year of school!

We are not sure yet what we are going to do afterwards. After taking pictures at SBP with the photographer we are going to go back to our hotel and take some pictures around there with our own camera. We down graded our hotel due to budget, so we are now staying at Pop. We were looking at some of the pictures online and it looked like they had some really cute stuff outside like goofy and the potato heads.

Thats a great idea for the cake! I asked my DF and he said that would work out great! We are going to do the white chocolate mousse on the top and the buttercream on the bottom.

We are using Disney Photography for convenience sake.

No! I love the questions!! I don't really have many people to talk about the Disney Wedding with because people just don't understand on the same level as fellow disney brides!

We are using Disney Photography for the wedding. It just seemed easy. Rosie was telling me that since it will be a quick ceremony and that it is just me and my DF that we will get tons of pictures! She also said that SBP has great photo ops! She said not to be surprised if we have like 300 or more pictures just from that 2 hour session to choose from!

Because of budget I told her I really wanted the CD but that our budget is not allowing it. She said that we can upgrade to the Cinderella packages that include the disk after the wedding. I guess when you order your book that comes with the package that you can upgrade then to the Cinderella package! I am excited because we will be getting money with our tax return and school money and I figured we could just upgrade then! It is only a couple months from our wedding! I think I can wait!!

We scheduled the MK photo shoot because I want nice pictures in front of the castle. I also talked with Karen with the photography and discussed other locations in the MK that I wanted pictures by. And she said that it all depends if it will be available that morning. I am excited about this! Has anyone picked other locations?

We had to do the photo shoot on the Sunday after the wedding. I think it will be ok and I will get to be pampered and dolled up an extra day!

We really wanted to do the TTD but just could not see spending the money for the shots in the water park. So my sister is a photographer in the St. Louis Area and she is going to do my TTD for FREE!! I am totally excited about it! She is starting her own photography studio and she wanted to build her portfolio up! Lucky US!
