Sonoma Diet Anyone?

Have any of you considered the Sonoma Diet for the New Year? I just picked up a copy of the book today, mainly because the recipes sound tempting and "do-able." Just wondering if anyone else is considering trying this? I would love to hear others' experiences with this diet--and maybe to find a "support group" as well!

Me too! I've been reading alot about this one. I'm very successful if someone tells me what to eat - if I have to do it on my own, its the pitts.

Hey, glad to know there is someone else out there. My DH and I have been trying the recipes for the last couple of days. They are really tasty, but they do require a bit of prep work (chopping veggies, preparing marinades and spreads, etc.). I've been tracking calories, and it looks like we're hitting about 1000 per day. Since I've started working out, too, I'm not sure that's enough. Sadly, I am out of shape--haven't worked out since last summer. When I jumped on the elliptical yesterday and confidently punched in my old program, I felt like I would pass out after 10 minutes LOL. Pathetic, I know. Today, I used one of the ellipticals with the upper-body apparatus--even worse. I may try a little Sonoma snack before my workout tomorrow; haven't added those in yet.

Check in if you decide to try the diet...My DH and I don't have kids (except "fur children"). It must be a challenge trying to do a special diet and still prepare meals for your children too! At least, it's a challenge for me, and all I have to do is scoop out cat and dog food for everyone else!

DH bought this book yesterday ! Haven't had a chance to "dig in" yet. I did take a quick glance and it seems similar to South Beach. Can't wait till tonite when I have time to investigate.
