This one is particularly haunting to me personally. I religiously listened to KQAK, the best New Wave/Punk radio station from the 80's (yes, better than KROQ in So Cal). Well, they were bought out, the format changed, and all the DJ's were fired. The last night the station was on the air the DJs threw thenselves a going off-the-air party and they switched off the station after playing this song, "Around the Dial", by the Kinks. The silence after the song ended was unreal;
