Songs that are kind of HAUNTING (in words or beat)

I didn't know there was an older version, I always only knew of the one Pat Benatar did.

I never knew either. Apparently Kate Bush sung the original. However Pat did a fantastic job singing a cover version of that song. Sorry, but to me, the Kate Bush version seems like a parody in comparison to Pat Benatar's singing.

Here's Pat's version. Someone put it with a British remake of Wuthering Heights in 2009 for this YouTube version. Or the movie did. Not sure which. Some fans are really good clipping stuff together with a song. But, she sung it about 25 years before this remake.

Thriller - Michael Jackson:

(Okay, it's not "haunting" in the way you mean. But, it's always good to hear & watch the full version of Thriller again. popcorn:: )

I adore the song but I’ve always hated his chewing the popcorn with his mouth open.

The theme song from the film Baghdad Cafe.

I can hear it, but for the life of me can't remember the title. Incredibly haunting and beautiful.

"Winter Snow"

Could've come like a mighty storm
With all the strength of a hurricane
You could've come like a forest fire
With the power of Heaven in Your flame

But You came like a winter snow
Quiet and soft and slow
Falling from the sky in the night
To the earth below

You could've swept in like a tidal wave
Or an ocean to ravish our hearts
You could have come through like a roaring flood
To wipe away the things we've scarred

But You came like a winter snow, yes, You did
You were quiet, You were soft and slow
Falling from the sky in the night
To the earth below

Ooh no, Your voice wasn't in a bush burning
No, Your voice wasn't in a rushing wind
It was still, it was small, it was hidden

Oh, You came like a winter snow
Quiet and soft and slow
Falling from the sky in the night
To the earth below

Falling, oh yeah, to the earth below
You came falling from the sky in the night
To the earth below
