We'll be cruising out of the NYC terminal in October. We're flying in the morning of the cruise. We know this isn't ideal but due to our schedules we have no other options. It's a direct flight and there are several other flights that morning if something goes wrong. Anyway - we'll be getting in pretty early. We thought we'd go straight to the terminal even though we won't be able to board right away most likely. If we get to the terminal early, is there someplace close by where we can grab coffee and breakfast? We'll have our luggage with us. Thanks!

It's not super close but if you are taking a cab or the subway, Westway Diner is at 9th Ave and 43rd and is known as the diner where Seinfeld was created. When we lived in the area, we went there for weekend breakfast all the time. It's busy but fast and lots of travelers come through. There is a small area in the front where you can put bags, suitcases, strollers, etc.

If the weather is nice, there's a park on the pier on the other side of the Intrepid from the terminal. I haven't been there since before covid but it used to have a coffee kiosk. It's a nice place to sit and people (and dog, there's a dog park) watch, weather permitting.
