My neice use to hang with some of his friends in Florida, she met him a couple of times and said he seemed like an alright person. I tend to believe her since she's a good and caring Mother to a beautiful and well rounded 10 year old girl. My neice never did the goth thing, she met up with his friends at the beach to try to surf.

Don't really care for his "look" or his music, but when he's ever been interviewed he is quite articulate and is polite, and does appear to be intelligent. Give him a break.

I am not judging Manson for what he looks like but what he says and how he acts. Thats why I call Manson a thing. He doesn't act human hell he named himself after a serial killer. But anyways this a Disney site and its suppose to happy. If he likes Mickey he likes Mickey. But he needs to set a better example for the teenagers who follow him. I am done ranting. Sorry.

He makes music. It is not his job to set an example. He doesn't put his music out there specifically for teenagers to eat up so he can buy whatever he wants, a la these teenaged bimbos and everything else you hear on mainstream pop radio. I would much rather my child listen to Marilyn Manson because he actually has important things to say, than to have my child watching Britney Spears make out with Madonna and dress in see-through clothing, all the while singing about nothing of substance.

No I have not seen Bowling for Columbine. Also he may not intentially put his music out there to badly influence teens but neither do rappers and teens still get badly influenced and Brittney Spears is just as bad. Most music icons these days are pretty bad role models, they may not mean to be role models but they are. Now that is enough of that. I am no longer coming back to this thread it has become usless. I come to the DIS for fun and Disney love, this thread is not that!

Trus story. Orange Bowl, Miami FL, Late 1998. We went to go and see the Rolling Stones in concert. Dave Matthews Band (Dave is another hard core lefty, and also one of my favorite musicians) opened, followed by Blind Melon, and then Marilyn Manson. Dave rocked, Blind Melon was alright... Marilyn Manson totally got booed off the stage. 70,000 or so people booing so loud you couldn't hear what they were playing. They just stopped playing and left. When they did, the house lights came on and everyone cheered. It was a good night.

And if The Stones or Dave Matthews played say at a Nine Inch Nails/Marylin Manson concert? (though I'd be the one old enough to appreciate the Stones and young enough to appreciate Manson).

But it's all good because my undies are nice and loose
