Something Sweet Is In The Air At Disney Land

Actually will be anyway, next year, when the brand new bakery that is being built for Disneyland, is completed.
This bakery, will not be open to the general public. It will encompass the baking that is currently being done, on site. The location is across from the Mickey and Friends parking structure for the employees.
I learned of this information this past Tuesday, when speaking with an employee of Disneyland. I thought it very interesting, not to mention tasty as well, so that is why the post.
Also, when I was doing a bit of shopping at Marcelines Confectionery, I learned that any of the goodies that have a blue Disney label on it, is baked or prepared otherwise on site. So therefore, their food products are fresh, as opposed to being shipped in, like the other food items.
I did not know this either, until a Disney worker told me to look for a hidden Mickey on the pretty bag that Marcelines Confectionery uses to hold one's tasty morsels. I believe that I found him. That reminds me, when visiting Master Gracey, this week, I saw a definite hidden Mickey, gracing the ballroom dining table, it was cute.

Does these mean I can hope they will bring back the sourdough rolls they replaced with the crummy dinner rolls at BB and Ariel???

I hope so, for I don't care all that much for those rolls either, at BB, and I so do love sourdough bread.

I know that it is suppose to be completed next year, I was wondering how the construction is going so far? If anyone knows?

In October we parked in the Minnie section of the Mickey and Friends parking lot and you could see everything from the very top, but I didn’t even think to look for the bakery. I haven’t heard much on it’s progress, but I’m assuming it will be finished by the start of the new year. According to the Disneyland website, DLR will be offering more cake options for celebrating, so since it seems like a larger volume of cakes will be made they should have the bakery finished by then. This is just what I’m assuming though, so I don’t know how right I will be.

My source had said to me, that the construction was going very well. And that it would most likely be finsihed by early next year.
