Hi everyone,

My wife and I along with our 3 year old and 5 month old will be staying at BCV in July. I am looking to do something really special with just my 3 year old and I. Does anyone have any good ideas?

I was thinking about renting a small little boat, maybe those 2 seaters to take out on the lake.

Any other great ideas?

We took our 3 year old DGS on a surrey bike to FW and showed him the ponies. If yours is the right height, he could go on one, you lead him around. There's a nice play ground area there too.

Years ago FW had its own water park that was great for the younger kids, my two sons now 16 and 13 would play there all day long if you let them. Really never heard why it was closed down but it was great.

Personally, I am uncomfortable with the 3 yr old in a boat idea. I really like the Surry tour idea.

It's been a while since my kids were that young

Just a thought here....

3YO has been kind of taking a back seat for a while (at least 5 months) so how maybe if you and mom both take her on separate (just her and you) trips to MK. Maybe 3-4 hours. Or maybe even more trips if it works well. I think the alone time with mom and/or dad will be real special and help her know that there is still a one on one connection.

Make sure she/he knows you really enjoy the time alone too.

Hope you all find the right mix of time spent to keep everyone happy. Good Luck.

If she is used to be on the water, I think the 2 seater boat is a good idea.

A 3 year old would like bibbity bobbity boutique, but I bet mom would like to be there for that experience.

I have my own opinion on the surrey bicycle :headache:

What about a hay ride at Fort Wilderness OR a horse & carriage ride at Port Orleans or Wilderness. :cloud9:

How about going out for ice cream somewhere like Beaches & Cream? Or asking her if there's anything special she'd like to do, once you've been there a bit: a certain character to meet, ride to go on, etc. and then doing that together.

When I was there last April my DH and I wanted to take our DDs for a little boat ride. It was not allowed. They explained that the child had to old enough to drive:confused3 I guess two people can be in the boat but the child has to be driving and if the child can't control the boat I guess they figure they are to young.

Has anyone else been told this?

Why not schedule her for the Perfectly Princess Tea Party at Grand Floridian or Alice in Wonderland Tea Party, or even the pirate treasure hunt at Yacht or other resorts.

Mine have enjoyed Mickey's Backyard Barbeque at the age or she might like the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

to go to DTD and play for HOURS in the fountain outside of the Toy Store. It is free and the water is very interactive. It is her favourite non-park thing to do!
