We are DF46, DM41, DS19, DB15, and DBF27..... Me and DBF have been to The World 4 times in the past year and a half and every single time we've eaten at Le Cellier. We absolutely adore it. But my family hasn't been to WDW in at least 6 years and are completely clueless about restaurants on property (and refillable mugs, and wristbands at SAB, and evening EMH... and I feel like I'm planning a trip for first timers! Ohhh how Bittersweeeet :upsidedow... but that's another story..) Anyway, so I was thinking that it might be nice to try some new restaurants with the family, as DBF and I always seem to find ourselves at the same ones trip after trip (i.e. - Le Cellier, Cindy's, Boma, etc.). I have heard some good things about the Garden Grill and am wondering what everyone thinks... stick with what we know we love and share the experience with my family, or try something new that we can all experience for the first time together?

I would try something new. You can always go back to old favorites later. On my upcoming trip I won't be eating at Les Chefs de France for the first time in 8 trips. I've decided to chage things up a bit, and if I find that I'm really missing it at the end of the trip then I can pop in for dessert or something. I have never been to Garden Grill so I can't help you there, but why don't you give it a shot? Plus there's not the added pressure of suggesting one of your favorites then having it fall short with one of your family members (happened to me with Le Cellier). Happy planning!

I say try something new! A great family meal wouls either be Liberty Tree Tavern (mk) or Trails' End.(Fw) Both are great family stlye and buffet! Fun for all ages! BTW: Liberty Tree Tavern is a character meal!

I say take them to the one's that you love , they just may love them too...you don't like them because they have bad service/food.... they are GOOD restaurants! why not let them look @ some menus and descriptions of restaurants and let them have some input also...

(we travel with family a lot...sometimes its easier to try not to overplan things too...)

We would try something new. We always try to go somewhere new and have found some places that we liked but wouldn't have normally tried. We have had good service and meals everywhere we have gone.

I have not eaten at Garden Grill in years.. sorry, cannot help you there.

I was thinking what about Teppanyaki in Japan.....I love the cooking at the tables and the little floor show routine the chef does. The food is consistently fresh and good.. JMO
