Can anyone come up with an idea for us to do something different during our trip to Disney in December. We are having a luxury trip, flying First Class and staying concierge at Yacht Club. We already have the Segway tour booked and a tour round AK. We are eating in some very good restaurants. But we would like to do something that is unique, something that not everyone else has done. So does anyone have any ideas please?

Something along these lines may tickle your fancy.

Have you looked into having a special event planned for you by Gifts of a Lifetime? I've never used them, but they seem to have some pretty unique offerings.

Have you thought about setting up something with Disney's VIP Tour Services team? A friend of mine did this for her honeymoon and they can give you all kinds of ideas depending on what you want to pay.

To contact them you can call (407) 560-4033 or e-mail them at WDW.VIP.Tours@Disney.com.

I know you didn't necessarily want dining ideas, but have you ever dined at the Chef's Table at Victoria and Albert's?

I had lunch with a Disney Imagineer last month. Here is the info.
It was fascinating and well worth the price paid. :sunny:

Sorry to side track the thread (which is a really interesting one!) but can you tell me a bit about your experience with this lunch, Eljay? Did they mostly talk about technical stuff? What age range is it for? Do you think it would be of interest to my wannabe-imagineer BF? He's always trying to figure out how the rides and features at Disney are put together. Thanks for any info. might do this on our next trip.

Thanks a lot for all your suggestions. Yes we have eaten at Chefs Table. It was fantastic. Am about to check out the other suggestions. Thnaks Guys.

I hope nobody minds if I reply to you with a brief description of the Imagineer Lunch. :)

This has to be reserved in advance, since there are only 8 seats plus your Imagineer guest of honor. We checked in at the MGM Brown Derby restaurant at 11:30 and were brought to the private dining room called the Bamboo Room. We were lucky to get Steve Grant, Principle Project Architect as our speaker. It was his first time doing one of these lunches. He was very interesting. We asked him questions and some of the things we asked, he couldn't reveal the answers to! We did try! He told us what he had worked on plus what he was currently working on. We had a wonderful waiter, who was a Disney trivia expert, who very nicely filled in to give Mr. Grant a few minutes to eat. We sat for 2 1/2 hours, enjoying a wonderful lunch and chatting with our Imagineer and our waiter. It was the second time one of the guests had done this lunch experience. At 2:00, we said our goodbyes and we were presented with a lovely Dining With An Imagineer plate that Steve Grant autographed for us. It was a very nice, grown-up Disney experience. As far as age range? There were no children, I'm not sure what the official policy would be on that. There was a mom with her college student son, who someday hopes to work for Disney and the rest of us were assorted adults.:sunny:

Here is a list of all of the tours that are available.

Since you are going in December, you might want to do a resort hopping day. The resorts are seriously decked out with Christmas decorations. And, hey! It's free! Now, there's novel concept! ;)

You might also want to go to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, also known around here as, MVMCP. That will really get you into the holiday mood!

I don't have any suggestions, but would you please adopt me? If not me, how about one of my children...they are all real cute! :teeth: ;)

Have a great trip--sounds like it will be one to remember for sure!
