Someone taking disboards disigns and selling them on ebay?? Look here

Ok - I *know* this is from here because I used it in my autograph book, and I'm hoping that its the same person that is selling it on ebay - but I'm just not sure....

I looked at all of the other disigns & only that one looks like it was lifted from here. the rest is clip art available for free on the net. It really upsets me because Disney has contacted other people who have used their disigns, but they let ebay sell Disney stuff (aginst copyright).

While I am NOT positive that IS Natalies design - and I'm NOT saying it isn't, I just can't say with 100% certainty.
I do know that this HAS happened to her before - so, I'm not at all shocked about this. It is WRONG and DISGUSTING for people to do this.......... unfortunately, they do - this is one of the reasons I do not give out blanks - I know a lot of designers here DO despite this kind of thing, but, this is WHY I and some others don't.

I just want to point out that ALL of us spend a lot of time and effort creating these designs and it's APPALLING to me that people come here and STEAL others hard work - then pass it off as thier own and more than that - SELL it. Not only is it WRONG - it's ILLEGAL!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure what can be done - other than asking that anyone who does see this - and knows for CERTAIN that the design is stolen to PLEASE report the seller to Ebay - if enough people report them, then MAYBE they will be made to stop. The sad part is............ they probably won't do anything. I'm just sad to see this happening again............ (if indeed that IS Natalies design! - as I do NOT want to accuse anyone before knowing without absolute certainty - as Penny pointed out - ALL of the graphics the person has are FREE and very readily available for anyone to use (NOT to SELL) - so, maybe this is just very close to Natalies design ? - lets hope that is the case.)

Nevertheless.......... the point is - it HAS happened before and it's just VERY SAD and SO NOT what us designers are about. We LOVE to share and create and give freely - to pass along some happiness and pixie dust to others - this ABUSE of US is SO WRONG. IT IS THEFT of someones hard work - and it makes me very SAD!!!

That's a shame! I'm sure that's Natalie's design, I printed it last weekend to put in my son's autograph book. Some people have no scruples at all!

That's sad. Obviously this seller has gotten some edible ink cartidges and is making a pretty penny with them, but it does appear that this is the only Creative DISigns pic there. I recognize a lot of their images from a simple google search or as wallpapers from Disney. Perhaps this one is an "honest" mistake? I put honest in quotes bc honestly they're selling Disney stuff in a manner that I'm fairly certain is illegal...

that's the frustrating thing. many people put hours into their disigns and gives them away and then someone else sells Disney stuff and gets away with it. VERY upsetting. This is not the first time this has happened. I wish I had an email for Disney Legal department.

Someone was selling my designs on ebay and I reported them to ebay as everything they were selling was trademarked, and ebay did nothing about it. The seller removed my invitations but was rude about doing it.

Shocked and appalled and sad....I must say!!
As someone who has been the beneficiary of the time and talents of so many people here on the Dis...I just want to say sorry Natalie and Dolly!
I can appreciate the time and dedication to your designs and to see them ripped off and profited by another must be so very disheartening!!
When we had Lauren's wish trip in 2009, I can't even begin to tell you how proud Lauren was of "her door" and all the special designs you all made for her...she made so many friends of folks in the nearby cabins because she wanted to tell them about each and every design. Not to mention how easy it was for her to find our cabin with such a fabulous looking door!!
So from a very appreciative recipient of many Disigners talents... I want to say I respect you and I know the majority of others here do too.

I do think it is terrible and sad. Upsetting. Btu what comes to mind is...why just that one? You know what I mean...if they are going to do it...why that one and why only that one. Regardless it is not cool.

A good deterrent would be for 10 separate people to buy it (there are 10 available) and all leave negative feedback that the image was stolen from the original artist.

What the heck? How can you even sell this stuff if it's Disney trademark/copyright?

I have been making some of my own designs with free clipart I have found online and made shirts for our trip and my friends asked me to make shirts for them and I did FOR FREE and friends have told me I should sell them and I told them I couldn't cause Disney would have my house and probably my first born child for making $$ off their stuff. So I'm trying to figure out how people can do this and not get in trouble.

unbelievable!!! I have used many artist designs for creating Disney memories. My scrapbooks are loaded with images, autograph pages, signs and all the other beautiful art that is shared on these boards.

My planning binder also contains art, planning sheets that you all graciously shared. your work inspired me to try and create things of my own.

Ebay person is a slimeball of the first order!
