Someone please tell me they remember Paradise by the Dashboard Light.

I heard a commercial on the radio today for a 24 hour test drive program GM is offering. The music in the background of the commercial sounded familiar and I suddenly realized it was Paradise By The Dashboard Light with the vocals removed. I thought this was hilarious, but when I told my co-workers they looked at me like I was crazy. They had never heard of this song!

Someone please tell me they remember this tune. As for me, I remember ever little word as I heard it only yesterday .

That was the strange thing. I talked to 8 different co-workers Some were in their early 40's like me, others were older or younger, but none of them had heard of the song. The youngest person I asked is 26.

I thought everone knew this tune. I have it on CD at home. I'll have to bring it in and educate them .

I remember that song as well.. It may be that people may not recognize the name of the song, but know the song..? I think a lot of people think that is called Let Me Sleep on it.. Play the song for them and see if they remember it then...

A couple of years ago, I was part of a roving quartet that entertained at our church's annual Christmas Bazaar. As the day dragged on, the soprano in the group and I broke into an impromptu rendition of "Paradise By The Dashboard Light". Not very Christmas-like, but we had a good time. And FYI, the soprano is only in her mid 20's. Perhaps sgtpet is right. They may not recognize the song by the title.
