This trip started being a "budget trip", staying at POR for 6 nights
We are celebrating grandma's 80th birthday, DH and brother's birthday. Also, this is my niece (13) first time at Disney, actually, she was 2 the first time, but, that doesn't count. Also, we are thinking of having a baby, so, we will probably be on a Disney hiatus for at least 2 years ( oh,my ..I said two years
) Well, I decided to splurge and book an illuminations cruise as a surprise to celebrate all birthdays
. You think that would be enough, right? Nope, not for me..all I took was for DH to say that he did not want to sleep in a double bed and for my brother to tell me that DN would really love to stay at a monorail hotel..yes, I switched..first to a wing at the Contemporary which was just a bit over POR. Fine, you said right? Nope, not for me, I decide the CR does not have the right atmosphere for me and I switch to the Poly which doubles our original rate plus a few $$ more
, but, I'm good for two reasons
1. I keep our ressies at POR for 2 nights.
2. I do not book concierge
PS. Our deposit is due 45 days out. Once I pay that it is going to be very tempting to book conceirge, hopefully it won't be available or there goes my "budget" again
I don't stop there I also book several PSs:
1. Ohana's
2. Teppayanki
3. Fantasmic dinner package
You think I busted my budget enough? Nope, I decide that we must do the Segway tour now, since, in the future when we return we will have a baby and we won't be able to do it. Sounds logical, right? Plus, we are under 60 days there probably won't be any room anyway, right? Nope, I called and they had room for 2 more for the specific date that I wanted, so, I had to book it right?
Enough, right? Nope, I am seriously considering adding an extra day at the beggining of our trip to go see Cirque, since, we have never seen any of their shows. Maybe, ask DH for it as my birthday present. Of course, being the budget minded person that I am, I'm thinking of staying at POP for that one night, but, as you may already suspect, I'll end up at the Grand Floridian
