Someone just broke in to my house!

Danny and I were playing in the front room with the door shut and tv blaring etc etc, Baz upstairs having a post lunch lie down. Sometime before 15.30, someone came thro the back gate into the kitchen and nicked my hand bag!!!! - Phone, Keys, cards, engagement ring - all gone!!! B*******DS! (Sorry)
I can't believe it as i didn't hear a thing! Went out to make a coffee at 4ish and noticed the back door and kitchen doors open. They obviously had a go at mac as he is very quiet and trembly but as they didn't get anything else - he may have stopped them - kitchen radio etc still here.
I am more annoyed than anything - I mean I carried my life around in that bag, plus Baz leaving the back door open!!! - I always lock it when I'm alone in the house!

Mind you if they'd come in the living room - dodesn't bear thinking about!!

They've already tried to use the cards - my ac was empty after Saturday shopping and all the spare transferred into my savings ac and the credit card was full as usual, plus I always put the PIN on my phone so they can't use my sim

Locksmith came round and changed the locks - we are the 14th call he has had today, due to theft, so someone is on a little spree??

Thank goodness you didn't come face to face with them (for their sakes! ) and discovered the loss of your bag early enough to stop them using the cards, etc. It's still such a lot of hassle to get everything sorted out, though

Poor you - it's so distressing when you're burgled. Unfortunately it's happened to me twice Once years ago in the family house in London . . . at 3.30am when we were all asleep (I'd heard someone downstairs but thought it was my father getting up to take DB and SIL skiing); then Darryl and I were burgled in our first flat. The b*****ds completely wrecked the front door and trashed Katie's stuff - and she was only about 6 months old then

At least now the locks are changed you can feel more secure - sounds like opportunist little gits to me.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. I had my bag stolen during a children's storytime at the library some years back - those b*gg*rs move very quickly to use your credit cards usually. Then we had someone break into this house not long after we moved in...it does make you feel very angry in the end, after the initial shock wears off.

Hope you're feeling less shaky today. And by the look of things you have a nice holiday to look forward too soon.

..... I know exactly what you mean. It's the violation, the loss, the inconvenience and the what if's that really get to you when things like this happen.

I hope they catch them but sadly that's a bit of a long-shot isn't it?

That's awful. You must have got a terrible fright as well as shock. I'm glad to hear they won't get much benefit out of their theft however!

Someone cloned my credit card and tried using it but they picked the wrong person/time as I had just used it to the max on Christmas shopping so they got no luck, serves them right.

WOW, I'm sorry this happened to you , I know I used to be very vigilant when I was living in Spain too but here at home now we have never had a problem but I do lock the front door when I'm alone , then again I live in the country, I don't know where you live.
