I am in the pre trip freak out mode that always hits usually much closer to trip time. But here we are a little more than 3 weeks out and I am freaking. I can't focus on what I need to buy. I can't get together supplies. I don't know if the kids all need new sandals..(bought sneakers last week at least.)I need to get Easter baskets together- and buy travel toys to keep everyone happy*4 kids... So darn much to think about and I need a good kick in the pants to get moving.

:rotfl2:

Now go take a nap- everything is always better after a nap :thumbsup2

You need to put on a Disney movie or planning video & have a big bowl of ice cream!!:cool1: Then, when you are in Disney mode make your list of things to do & buy. Trips do have a way of sneaking up on you. Just think how much fun you're going to have.:yay:

*slap slap slap*

Make a list...

Watch Disney shows on the Travel Channel. (I have several on my DVR)

Then start laying your kids' outfits out. I have found vacations to go smoother when outfits are pre-laid out -including underwear & socks - and put into large ziploc bags for each child/day. My mother came up with this great idea & I swear by it. The kids love it too.

Don't worry.. you'll snap out of it soon.

Thanks everyone. I do love that ziploc way of packing. With my little guys-I do shirts in one bag- socks in another casual shorts in one- ect. But I think this time I will do individual outfits in bags- socks ect all in one make it easier in the AM.
Oh and a nap would be great- except the 2 boys won't nap anymore:sad2: So I could always put the dog in charge and take one anyway- but I think I better not. I need the weekend to get it going. Then I think I can focus and recharge and head into the travel packing battle.
Maybe I'll buy some shoes for myself online that always gets me in the mood.

Pack the whole outfit in one ziploc bag - for you dd even pack the hair accessories.

See how much easier it would have been to go in July? Just kidding - you'll get it all together you know we thrive on stress!!!!!!

I'm in the same boat you are in! We leave in 2 1/2 weeks and I haven't started packing, everything new we bought is in bags on the floor of our bedroom. Right now I have no time to even think about spending packing. Between working 10 hour days, going to the Hockey Championships this weekend (my team is in it so I have to go ;) ). Plus my foot HAS decided to make this week the week to give me all kinds of problems so I can hardly walk on it. It's enough to make me want to have a nervous breakdown.

On top of all that I feel so stressed out worrying that we aren't going to get the room we wanted and that it's going to be way too packed as compared to this time last year, that the weather isn't going to be as great as last year. All the normal (I hope) vacation worries that people go through. I am sure once we get there and get into our room I'll breath again but right now

I don't want to even think about getting stuff for DS9 for Easter (it's the day after we return)

Hey no teasing you;)
I am sure when I get back I will be able to ask about your hotel changes for July!:rotfl2:
I am actually totally lost I think because it is in April- July I know- April not so much. So I'll probably overpack. I think for the Easter Baskets I need to order them from someone- I miss feralpeg...but I hear Sarah is very good too.

We're leaving on the 31st and I got all of the travel size toiletries together over the weekend and my husband was making fun of me for starting to pack so early. Do you know what his problem is? He doesn't read the Dis forums!:goodvibes I think I will start the clothes next week. I've been buying so many new things because the kids have outgrown last summer's clothes.

Oh........thanks for the Ziplock idea! That's GREAT! I will be doing that for our trip the end of April! :woohoo:

Umm...nothing to add, here, but I couldn't resist the urge to help you and honor your request with a big SLAP!

There. Feel better?

If AP rates come out while you're gone you might see some switching around! Not that that would be anything out of the ordinary for me.

We used Disney florists for baskets in January and they were great.

Glad ya'll liked the ziploc idea. The credit goes to my mother for that. At first I thought she was nuts, but then after I thought about it, I realized she's just brilliant.

One thing I will suggest: Put the kid's name on the ziploc bag that holds the outfit. And the best part about this? Just dump the ziplocs into a drawer when you get there! :cool1:

Another suggestion.... get those popup laundry baskets - like the ones at Walgreens. The small ones that fold into little circles. Pack a couple of those along and use them for dirty laundry while you're there. DH was sooo glad we did that!

I've done the ziploc bags method for years and can't imagine vacation without it. I put everything into the bag - outfit, underwear, socks, hair acessory. It makes it so easy when you are traveling with three kids - just pull out the bag, no more searching for anything, and no more kids wanting to wear mismatched outfits!

Wow, love that pop-up laundry basket idea, too!! They're on my list now!! Thanks so much!! Do you just wanna shop and pack for us?? I think you're an expert!!

Thanks again!
