We have ressies for ASSp for Oct.27 - Nov.1, but we are counting on a free dining deal coming out. I am starting to read all these posts from people that are getting free dining pins for those dates, but they are excluding the value resorts. Don't the pin codes usually track to what the general public offer will be later?

You just can't bank on there being a correlation between the current email pin code offers and what the possible general public discount might be. They could be similar, they could be totally different. The only thing for sure is that you shouldn't "count" on anything specific.

I called yesterday to give Disney my new phone number and asked about any pins and she checked and I have a free dining one but it doesn't start until July 13. You may want to give them a call.

It's so hard to tell if there will or will not be a certain discount in the future. My guess is that Disney plays the "wait and see" game. First they wait and see how many book without a discount. Then how many book based on pin codes and so on.

Now having said that, it seems (with the exception of one Sept a few years back) there has always been some kind of discount. I am not sure if every year they have had free dining that they extended past October. If memory serves me right last year was the first year they did that. But I can not say for sure.

I do believe that the travel industry has not recovered as well as many including Disney had hoped. If that is the case then I would think the chance of Free Dining being extended is good. But only time will tell

I know it can be crazy waiting for a discount to come out. I have been there myself. But hang in there. I don't think it will be much longer before the discounts for October on come out. If I remember correctly it was the end of July early August that they have come out in the past.

I don't see how the horrific oil spill in the Gulf will help out with Free Dining? More people will be flocking to the parks, instead of the beautiful Gulf beaches.
