So we are embarking our journey in 412 days or that's the plan. We have been talking about this trip for years already...waiting patiently for our youngest to turn 6. Our journey will begin with a 22 hour car ride across 6 states and 1 time zone. To plan for this amazing adventure I decided to pace myself by officially signing up to run my 1st marathon the MedTronic in October of 2014. :cheer2: I am the mother of 4 children...2 girls and 2 boys, ranging age from 5 to 8. I teach full time and am getting my masters and my husband works for the sheriffs department. I have OCD so I know I will have the handy binder in hand when we depart and every app known to man downloaded on my phone. But I truly hope once we arrive we throw it out the window and just relax, a girl can dream right? We have narrowed down our search to renting DVC points through Davids, since we want a 2 bedroom villa. This may be our only trip to WDW so we are going to splurge to make it as enjoyable as possible. I cant wait to hear everyone's advice and am thankful I just stumbled upon this site! Easter weekend seems like the perfect time to hit Hobby Lobby and start planning our little hints, surprises, along the way.

Oh my goodness so hubby is not super into Disney (insert sad face). BUT icing on the cake it looks like we will be staying during Star Wars Weekend and he is now officially excited lol. He is a Star Wars nut as is our DS 7. I am going to have to read more, do we need special tickets, dining opportunities, etc. More planning:)

WDW Dining Ideas...thoughts appreciated! Biergarten Sanaa Boma Fantastic Dinner pkg Hollywood and vine (Star Wars Weekend) 1900 dinner GF Cinderella Prince Charming etc Garden Grill

More ideas...

Tusker House
Cape May
Chef Mickeys
Crystal Palace

Ohhhh this is going to be tough!!!

Ooh, Boma is awesome! We went there during our first trip with our daughter (then 23 months) and we liked it so much we've made ADR to go again on our trip coming in 2 weeks (2 WEEKS!! :hyper:) 1900 Park Faire was one of my favorites as well. Its loud and crowded but the food was pretty good and the character cast is the BEST! I love Cinderella and everything but the step sisters MAKE this experience :) The pictures you'll get are just too funny! Also, I have this hilarious picture of Lady Tremaine giving my daughter the stink eye when she was being loud and DD is totally taking it seriously. She doesnt remember that trip now but every time she sees Lady Tremaine in the parade she gets all mad at her!:rotfl2:

Our daughters love Cinderella lol, although Frozen has taken over our house at the moment. They think the wicked stepsisters are awesome (since they are stepsisters I think) I saw a photo and realized it was a must do! Boma sounds delicious and I am sure the kiddos would love to check out the hotel if we don't end up staying there.

And introducing myself... Yes I am getting ready to run the IMT 1/2 marathon in this photo...presently training: Glo Run Color Run Mud Run Medtronic Marathon

Here is my DH who isn't a huge Disney fan but loves us enough to just roll with the planning!

Joining in. You sound like me with my binder and apps lol.

Oh thanks for joining it...

DH teased me the other day and said no one is going to read that thing. I laughed he has no idea what the DIS board looks like or the following it has:)

Haha! I kind of thought the same thing, but changed my mine after scrolling through. DIS is awesome!

So I just have to mention today our DD said she would be ok going to Branson again over WDW. Lol I about died laughing...what child says this??? Well one who is absolutely smitten with Branson because of The Presley's. So I mention this to DH and he says no way...WDW. We got married in Branson and DH had never been prior to our arrival for wedding. He still teases me I am young with an old soul. What can I say we girls love Branson. So back to reading all about WDW food...it's my happy food coma place!

Hmm today is one of those days I am thankful I can lose myself in DIS tonight. Grad school, Teacher/coordinator, mother of 4 very energetic kids, dance recital coming up, soccer started, roofer replacing roof, tree man cutting tree, furnace being replaced and hubby drives off to work with the counties finest criminals! On top of that an amazing woman, mother and teacher was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and it's much more invasive than thought. So yes tonight I am simply thankful for everything I have no matter how hard the struggle may seem!

Sounds like you really need this trip to WDW! I'm an obsessive planner by nature and start to stalk the Dis boards before each and every trip as a way to escape too :) Honestly, the only reason I haven't done a PTR myself is that my husband (who is the researcher of the 2 of us) is in charge of all the tickets and ressies and stuff. He asks my opinion on stuff (and I have PLENTY) but I let him handle that stuff while I figure out how to fly us and 2 young children (DD7 and DS almost 3) without incident from New Hampshire! Our trip is in 8 days (OMG!! :woohoo: ) and it's all I can do to WAIT to get out the luggage and pack all the bags!

I found you! Looks like you figured out the pics! Sorry I couldn't help you more quickly!

Your family is adorable!

I can't wait to hear more about your plans!

Planning the trip is half the fun, so there is no harm in starting early!

So glad you made it over! So hubby and I are huge baseball rivals Yankees vs Angels, so since they are playing one another tonight I got this FB post from DH Lol have to laugh he's getting in the Disney mood, even if it's SW tainted!!!

Wishing I could click my heels and be at Disney already!!! It's that kinda week...oh pickles it's only Monday :(

So the countdown is officially on at school and that includes the teachers...18 days. Crazy to believe at this time next year we will be hitting the 1 month countdown to our vacation. The next few weeks are crazy with field trips, meetings, class list, checkout, report cards, etc etc. Luckily I am done with my 2 finals for Grad school and have just about a month of break before summer term begins:)
