Sorry to hear things haven't turned out as hoped. I fully support you in your decision, Pete. Those of you who have worked so hard on this - you've taken lemons and made lemonade! We're all still going to have a blast!

We're looking forward to have lots of fun and good times with our DISer friends - new and old! I am glad you saved the Illuminations Party - that's what I was really looking forward to!

There was so much going on, I was afraid we wouldn't get to do some things for "just us". For us, this new itinerary works out much better.

We will be joining you at the Mystery dinner - that's something we've never done and it sounds like it it's going to be a blast!

Ok let me see if I understand this. Glo was trying to pass as a child going into epcot and tried to prove it by walking under the turnstyle. She was wearing big hair that day though and caught the top of it. Patrick got caught in the private parts by the upcoming turnstyle. He tried to get his revenge by singing "Short People" by Randy Newman at karaoke in a soprano. Laughing hardest of all was Patricks DW who did Glo's hair knowing it would happen this way.

Not sure if this is the right thread anymore to bring this up, but other than the cruise, when will the other prizes be awarded? Seems the Illuminations Dessert Party would be the best time. That's when a majority of us that registered and invested in advance, will be in attendance. Not everyone will be attending the mystery dinner theater on Saturday night.

We would like to add to the chorus of thanks to everyone that worked so hard behind the scenes trying to make the official activities a success. Your hard work was not in vain. It gave us reason for coming together, and we are going to do that anyway. We are going to have a great time in WDW with friends, old and new!

I don't want to give too much away, Bob will kill me. But there will be a prize for the scavenger hunt and as for the other prizes, that may be a bit of a "hunt" as well. They may be announced after DIS Con. I will let Bob explain the rest.

I truly understand your decision, Pete, and I think you've all done a great job of making the best of a difficult situation. The IllumiNations dessert party will be great, and the Murder Watch Mystery Dinner sounds even better to me than the original dinner at the Swan!

Thanks for all the hard work "the committee" has done...please know that it will not have been in vain. The most important thing is that a group of friends will once again gather at WDW for a rip-roaring time of fun!

I think it was Julius Caesar who said Veni, Vidi, Vici which I think means something like "I'm going, I'm partying, It's not Pete's Tab." It is either that or "Short people got no reason....."

Pete...I am not able to head to WDW at all...so I was not signed up for Dis Con, though I wanted to be. I am sorry things did not work out, but I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the boards and all you do to keep them going.

Oh, and when I win the lottery tonight...I will wire you the money!
