Hello....here was the trip. Me, 44, foodie. DH, 39, foodie.
FIL, 59....will eat anything and will eat it in record time. Never complains about food. FIL new girlfriend, 75...yeah, do the math.

Okay, Mother's Day Sunday afternoon...lunch at Fulton's. Last minute decision. No ADR. Checked in and immediately seated at 11:30am. I had the Chilled Seafood Trio. It was okay. It wasn't very flavorful. DH and FILGF had the Slider Trio. STALE bread. Yep....not good. The chips however were great. FIL had the Fried Seafood Combo. He ate it all....is that a sign? You will see a trend here. Now, the service was SO SLOW and it was our waiter for sure. I watched other tables get so much better service from other servers. Sad. I used to really like Fulton's. I will give it another try but the food was just....meh.

Sunday Night...dinner at Sanaa!!! LOVE!!! I order the Trio of Breads with the dips/spreads. We all 4 ate some of this and it was plenty for an appetizer for all 4 of us. DH and I each got Slow Cooked in Gravy, Simple and Well Seasoned Choice of two served with Basmati Rice. DH had the
Spicy Durban Chicken & Coconut-Curry Lamb. I had the Shrimp with Green Curry Sauce & Beef Short Ribs. IT WAS FABULOUS!! The service was super friendly and timely. We really love Sanaa. We both had a wine flight and enjoyed our entire visit.

Monday Lunch...Sci Fi. DH had the American Picnic Burger and I had the Smoked Turkey Sandwich. DH said his was just okay. He loves sauerkraut so that is why he got it. He said the burger flavor took over. Mine was great. Loved the bread and the bacon on the sandwich. And I really enjoyed the cucumber salad too. Cool and refreshing! Our server, Doreen, was FUNNY and fast. Had a great time. Food is just okay but fun atmosphere.

Monday Dinner...Again, we didn't have a plan and we ended up walking into Yachtsman Steakhouse at 6:15pm. We were seated immediately. Awesome!! I had the filet. Perfect...so so perfect. DH had the strip. He loved this too but said next time he would get a steak without sauce on it. Also, he liked my mashed potatoes more than his potato gratin. We shared the mushrooms and onions between the 3 of us and it was MORE than enough. FIL got the ribeye and FILGF got the Halibut. Both were delish. Next time I am getting the 28 oz porterhouse and the truffle mac and cheese....because I have to try them. How I will eat 28 oz of meat in one sitting I do not know...I plan to have steak for breakfast.

Tuesday...we did lunch at Teppan Edo. I would highly recommend this for people who want a "different" dining experience without being adventurous eaters. While the food is nothing special, it is a fun time watching the hibachi chef and their antics!! We had lunch late this day so we didn't do dinner....okay, that is a stretch....DH and I snuck off to McDonald's for BIG MACS!!! UGH!!! It is a secret vacation treat!! We NEVER eat fast food!!

Wednesday we had lunch at Casey's Corner. I really do like their fries. DH, FIL and I all had the Chili Cheese Dog. While it was nothing special, it hit the spot and it is HUGE. I really wish I would have gotten the BBQ beef dog as it looked so so good!! This night we went to BOMA for dinner. The carved beef tenderloin was delish as were the Carrot Ginger Soup (does anyone else think this tastes like buttered popcorn??) and the Chicken Coconut Curry soup. The service was great although we waited nearly 20 minutes past our ADR time to be seated. We also loved the curry pasta salad, the quinoa salad, the watermelon rind salad, the pap with chakalaka and some random salad with chickpeas....yummy all around. DH really liked the ribs but I thought they were just okay...oddly seasoned.

Thursday we had lunch at Yak n Yeti. Not sure I will go back. The food is just okay. I had the Malaysian Seafood Curry. It was just okay. I enjoyed the flavor and the seafood but it was way too much rice. We all shared the wok fried green beans which we enjoyed and DH got the Mahi Mahi. It was lightly fried with stir fry veggies. All in all, a good meal but nothing special....

And Thursday dinner was at Citricos....aaaaahhhhhh....wonderful. I started with the Cheese Plate while DH and FILGF had the corn soup. We all thought these were amazing. DH had the Veal Shank and I had the Alaskan Halibut. Wonderful food...great service...great bread with butters...great wines. I had the gelato trio for dessert. A perfect ending....light and not too sweet. FILGF had the creme brulee....delish. FIL had the lemon cheesecake which we all thought was toooooo sweet....he ate it all anyway.

I will review Earl of Sandwich later....
