I got back on Wed. The last few days of vacation were hectic with Faye and moving my dd into college.

We stayed in a 3rd floor Fountains I villa that was newly remodeled. It was very nice. Thought I'd share some photos with you :

It looks like we stayed in almost identical units! Our master bath did not have a window though. We were very impressed and enjoyed our stay!

Wow, Maria, no wonder you love Vistana! What a gorgeous condo!

I have never stayed there, but we stayed across the street at Bryan's Spanish Cove once. I promised myself then that the next time we went I would stay at Vistana but then I got another great deal at skyauction, and this time we got a great deal at Windsor Hills. Someday!

Just got home from work. Glad everyone enjoyed the photos. I agree....the assessment was very necessary and worth it Brian.


Memory Maker....I have never seen a Fountains I unit bathroom without a window. Please post a photo if u have one. Do u recall which villa number you were in ? I was in # 1365 (3rd floor).

We were in Fountains 1330, I'll check to see if I took a pic of the bathroom.

This keeps happening to me, too. I was all set to stay there this upcoming February, but then a DVC exchange came through for us.

Maria: have you heard anything about any possible changes to the resort's smoking policy?

Thanks Keishashadow ! The Fountains is on the opposte side from the Cascades. Fountains I, II and Lakes is through the second guard gate and in it's own area.

Maria: have you heard anything about any possible changes to the resort's smoking policy?

Brian...yes. I had initial a clause at check-in stating that if anyone smoked inside the villa, we may be responsible for the deodorizing/sanitizing fee. Smoking is still allowed on the balcony. But there is a notice on the glass doors to the patio/balcony stating smoking is not permitted inside the room. This was new from last year. It is stated on the last page of the check-in activities schedule/map. Stated as such : "No Smoking. We are proud to offer a refreshing smoke-free environment to our guests. Please be considerate and smoke only on the patio/balcony".

Not 100% sure Brian. But I would think they'd have to be giving out two different versions of the resort map/activities schedule at check-in if it's not including all sections. Because the "No smoking" policy is printed on the back of the resort map and it doesn't suggest any section is exempt. So my hunch is this is in effect for the entire resort.
