Three of us are flying SW on June 5th from Kansas city to Orlando via Midway in Chicago. I have several questions....
1. Since each leg of the flight has a different flight number, does that mean we will switch planes?
2. Do I need to go online and get a pre-boarding pass for each leg?
3. Can I assume our luggage will be forwarded to the new (2nd) flight?
Thanks in advance.

1.Yes, with SW, it generally does mean a change of planes (if it's just a stopover using the same plane, the flight number won't change).
2.Your initial online check-in should give you BPs for each of the legs, so you won't need to re-check-in (is that a word?).
3. Your luggage tags from your home airport should have MCO as the destination and your bags will be transferred.

Hope you have a safe, easy, magical trip! :thumbsup2

Thank You DVC Granny- The last time I flew commercial was 1971. I love to drive everywhere, but decided to fly this trip.
Thanks again.

Just want to add that you still check in 24-hours before your first flight, even though that's more than 24 hours before the connecting flights.

You're going to love SWA. One time, after the plane landed at MCO and was taxiing to the gate, the flight attendant said over the PA, "Welcome to Disney World. I mean, Orlando." The plane cheered.:lmao: SWA employees are not afraid to have a little fun.

Hey MOmousefan! I'm from around Columbia, it's a small world! :lmao: OK bad pun. Come back to the boards and let us know how you liked SW, I've never flown them before but if they have the lowest price we'll be using them too this fall. Have fun!!! :goodvibes
